Assistant Professor of Music, received a Grammy Nomination with Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band for Best Jazz Instrumental Album for Landmarks (Blue Note, 2014). He was also awarded a grant from the Norman Wait Harris Fund for "The Bridge: A Collaboration between Chicago and French Jazz Artists"
