Chester D. Tripp Professor in Philosophy, received the Anneliese Maier Forschungspreis, awarded by the Humboldt Foundation. He was also awarded a grant from UChicago's Neubauer Collegium for Culture and Society for "The Idealism Project: Self-Determining Form and the Autonomy of the Humanities," a collaboration with Robert Pippin (the Evelyn Stefansson Nef Distinguished Service Professor in Social Thought and Philosophy) and David Wellbery (the LeRoy T. and Margaret Deffenbaugh Carlson University Professor in Germanic Studies). Conant served as co-director of the FAGI Institute for Analytic German Idealism at the University of Leipzig.
