Stern Professor in Philosophy, delivered the keynote address “Courage in the Classroom” at the Kuyers Institute Conference on Education at Calvin College in Grand Rapids Michigan. She was the Distinguished Visiting Faculty at the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues at the University of Birmingham in the UK. She received grants from the John Templeton Foundation for the project “Virtue, Happiness, and the Meaning of Life” and the Hyde Park Institute for the “Chicago Moral Philosophy Project.” Her book John Stuart Mill’s Deliberative Landscape (Routledge Revivals, 2016) was reissued.
