Description | Please join us for a very special Zoom event: a timely conversation about the current relevance of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. featuring our iconic South Side civil rights activist and educator, the 101 year old Timuel D. Black, AM'54 and the Director of the UChicago Civic Knowledge Project Bart Schultz. This event will feature some original short videos and instructional materials about Prof. Black's activist life and work, and a special synchronous discussion with Prof. Black, who worked directly with Dr. King, about the legacy of Dr. King in light of the current protests sweeping the world. Audience participation will be encouraged! To RSVP, see the link to the Alumni Association |
